Julius Campbell was a star defensive lineman who helped lead the T.C Williams Titans to the 1971 Virginia state championship title. The Alexandria, Virginia high school was newly integrated and Campbell was a key player in bringing harmony to the team after initial racial tension. Something else I would like to say about Julius is that he was better than our high school team put together. He is a inspiration to a lot of people. If I didn't watch teh movie "Remember The Titans" I don't know where I would be right now because he was my inspirational person. I never met him in real life but I seen the movie based off of the movie he is an amazing person.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Campbell at a nursing home I worked at. He was a visitor. He was such a kind man. He gave everyone titan pics with signatures. I was very sad to hear of his passing. I am blessed that I was able to meet him. Sending prayers and hugs to his family.
