It was sad news for me to learn that JW's funeral was last Friday. I was out of town and apologize for not making it back. You all know my feelings for Mr. Crump (and Mrs.). I always called him my "second Dad". While working at Kay's he mentored me and truly guided me through some bumpy times. So very sorry to learn about the passing of Mr. Crump. I well remember how pleasant and helpful he was whenever I patronized The Shoe Trunk, and he always made it an enjoyable experience.

Kay's Shoe Store is so complete
keeps customers walking on happy feet
get longer wear from a perfect pair of Kay's fine shoes.
I would come into Shoe trunk with my mom, and sing that, it always put a smile on his face.
What a fine man, I first met him 50 years ago, and he kept my mom is SAS shoes, that was all she would wear.
My prayers and sympathies to your family. Mr. Crump was one in a milliion... those that live in our memory never really...
