Julius Novick Obituary

NOVICK
Julius, passed away peacefully on December 17th at his apartment at the Five-Star Residence in Teaneck, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Novick lived 98 full and happy years, beloved by his family, relatives and friends. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and received his master's degree from NYU. A retired school psychologist, he was passionate about many things: his family, music, languages, humor, folk dancing, politics, and bridge, among others. His wit, gentle spirit, kindness and resolutely positive outlook on life endeared him to all he met. He was married for 68 wonderful years to Gertrude Novick, who pre-deceased him. Mr. Novick is survived by his three loving children, Sue Novick of Ft. Lee, NJ, Peter Novick of Bethesda, MD, and William Novick of Lexington, MA. He also has six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Gutterman and Musicant Funeral Home, 402 Park St., Hackensack, NJ on Sunday, December 22 at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. Share your thoughts and memories of our father during shiva, on Sunday from 3-7 PM and Monday from 4-7 PM at the Novick-Deckelbaum residence, 6 Horizon Rd, #1701, Ft. Lee, NJ. In lieu of flowers, you can make memorial donations to Doctors Without Borders and support a cause that was close to Julius' heart.
