Julius Olumuyiwa Aremu Sanyaolu, age 71, passed to glory on December 26, 2012, in Silver Spring, MD. He was born on May 30, 1941 in Oyo town, Oyo state, Nigeria. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 11:00 am until time of the Christian Wake Keeping at 11:30 am. at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 2294 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland, before his body leaves for Nigeria. On Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 am, a funeral service and burial will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican, Ikereku, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Julius attended Methodist Elementary School and Fiditi High School, Oyo and later, Premier College in Abeokuta, Ogun State to further his education. He started his career at Dunlop Ltd for 8 years prior to joining Nigerian Army. He served in the Military for 7 years from July 1967 to 1974. He left the Army to work at Asunani Textile Nigerian Ltd for 8 years as a Store Keeper. In 1983 he worked at Ikorodu Ocean Fishing Company. He later joined Academy Press where he retired after serving for 10 years. In 1999, he traveled to United State of America with his wife to join one of his daughters. Julius Olumuyiwa was a man of uncompromising integrity and had genuine respect for people. He was a Christian and believer of the gospel. His love for Christ was very powerful. He served God whole heartedly, very devoted and fun to be around. Julius Olumuyiwa was a loving father, husband, brother and very dependable man. He was an active member of Christ Apostolic Church, Maryland. He was ordained as an Elder on March 2005. At the church, he served as a member of the building committee, and also an active member of the Welfare Committee (USA). While in Nigeria, he was one of the trustees at Unity Christ Church and also the Chairman of the landlord association at Oko-oba, Lagos. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anthonia Sanyaolu, children and grand children. He will be greatly missed by sisters, brothers, mother-in-law, son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Julius Olumuyiwa had touched many lives both in Nigeria and USA.
