Not sure what to say?

Reuben was a friend of mine in 8th grade at Funston School in Chicago. One day as we rode the streetcar home from school he asked me what instrument I was going to play in high school. I had not even thought of doing so. He suggested the clarinet. I took his suggestion and it changed my life for ever. It introduced me to classical music!! I have had a fully enriched life as a result. God blessed me with Reuben as my friend. I shall always remember him.

Dear Karen, Your dad was a great guy! I knew him a pretty long time starting from when I thought he was the tough bird at Bubbies who kidnapped my piano from the Century to when he had us eating steak at the Yacht Club gigs with Steve Freund, playing clarinet with Don Sadofsky, and then my park district volunteer Jazz band. He was a real sweetheart. Love, Dave

I speak for many who had the benefit of having had Julius Yashon as our teacher at ETHS during the late '60s. I remember him as being very effective in his teaching methods but also as a warm individual who had a great smile. I am sure we didn't really know that he was also a musician. My condolences to his family.

We are so sorry to hear about your father passing away. He was such a wonderful man. We enjoyed so many good times with him when you were growing up. It was a honor to have known him. Our deepest sympathy and love.

HE WILL BE MISSED

SHELDON WEINBERG

Dear ronnee, I an so sorry to hear about your loss. May you find strength in his memory. Fondly, Esther Lieber

I met Julius about 30 years ago when I visited Chicago. Mark Kronenberg ( My father ) was his cousin and I remember Julius' humour and friendliness even now. Warm regards to all relatives from Daniel Kronenberg, Salisbury. UK.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I enjoyed our lunches and breakfasts at Tufts. And i own a piece of his art entitled "My evil twin Rubin". Jules was a witty guy and fun to hear his stories of Chicago and its many characters.
