What a lovely lady. I and my brothers grew up having June as our "neighborhood" mom, and the Bitterman house was unquestionably the gathering point for all of the neighborhood kids. I trust she didn't mind our intrusions too much, for she was always the gracious host with a welcoming smile and greeting, and often something to eat or drink. The memories I have of being in the Bitterman garage, or downstairs in the house, could fill a book. And as long as we replaced Len's tools where we found...
