June Bowen

June Bowen, 87, of Bearden went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, November 26, 2016 at her home. She was born June 1, 1929 in Bearden, Arkansas. June was a retired teller for Bank of Bearden and a member of Bearden First Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jewell Nutt and Clara Mae "Dutchie" Copper Nutt; one daughter, Anita Pennington; one brother, James Nutt; two sisters, Bobbie Shoemaker and Mary Sharp; and one grandson, Joe Michael Wishard. June is survived by husband, Leonard Bowen of Bearden; one son, Al Bowen and wife Debbie of Bearden; two daughters, Kathy Bowen of Bearden, Vickie Alves of Fayetteville; one sister, Shirley Burkett of Greenville, AL; eight grandchildren, Angela Wages of Mabelvale, Brooke Vaughan of Sheridan, Keith Pennington of Sheridan, Brandy Cartwright of Bearden, Tony Alves of Fayetteville, Paul Pennington of New Edinburg, Dustin Bowen of Sheridan and Cole Pennington of Bearden; ten great grandchildren, Brandon Jordan of Bearden, Haylee Cartwright of Bearden, Macey Cartwright of Al, Lillian Bowen of Sheridan, Madelyn Vaughan and Olivia Vaughan of Sheridan, Garrett Bowen of Sheridan, Colton Cartwright of Bearden, Daniel Pennington of Fordyce, and Caroline Pennington of New Edinburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel Cemetery PO Box 137 Bearden, AR 71720. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Damon Launius officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
