Not sure what to say?

I was 3 or 4 years old when I met June. She was my mothers friend and they would bring my sister and I along to the N.O.W. meetings. My mother told me how June organized the first, :National Night Out", walk in Sacramento, CA, and June, my mother, my sister and I walked in it. I must have been 5. June had a lot of cats and I would get to cat watch when she went to africa and India. She always brought back unique music instruments and would teach me about them. June was an wonderful women. I...

I met June Gable in 1964 through our mutual friend Jean Hall. Full of life is what June was all about. Intellectually curious about everything and very interested in other people both at home and abroad. She and Jean Hall would drive Jean's VW bug (several times) from Sacramento to Puerto Vallarta in the 60's. They were both great spirits. June was loved by many people all over the world.Including me. I thank her for opening up the world to me. Rest in Peace dear friend. Much...

June frequently had coffee with my late husband Derek and with me at Cafe Con Canela in the 80s, and shared her travel experiences in China and elsewhere. She was always exuberant, always laughing, and forever a supporter of women's rights. June was beautiful and not someone you could ever forget.

Ms. Gable was also my 8th Grade History teacher (during the early to mid'70's). She was the first teacher to use the title "Ms." so prominently. I also remember some of the unique and interesting pieces of jewelry she wore. One fun homework project that stands out in my mind was when she taught us about the ancient Phoenicians who used cuneiform tablets as a form of recording their writings. The homework assignment was to make clay tablet models. It was fun, but sure hard to find the...

Ms. Gable was my 8th grade history teacher. I recall how she would share her 35mm slides with the class. Taken us to places in the world many of us knew nothing about. If I can remember this woman as one of my teachers at 53 years old.... you know she had to have made an impact in my life... and she did...thank you Ms. Gable for the many hours of you sharing your knowledge about life, travel, and the world... you we're one of the best! One of my few teachers that I had that really made...
