Not sure what to say?

You are heavy on mind tonight. I don't know if you knew, you are the reason I went into education. I loved hearing your stories about your students. Those kiddos were lucky, and I'm even more so. You modeled, being a strong woman, being kind to everyone, and loving and living with your whole heart. I want you to know that Aubree Marie is named after you. She would have loved you just as much as I do, we all do.

While reading an old journal, I found a passage that said: "I am grateful for June Gibbs - Zac's teacher. She is patient and innovative. What a remarkable teacher." Zac is grown now, but I thought I would look up to see if she is still teaching. I found this notice of her passing and I had to share my thoughts of gratitude. First grade was tough for this single mom. Knowing my son was in good hands helped tremendously. My thoughts and well-wishes are with her family.

Sailing with Tom and enjoying June's wonderful cooking is a cherished memory of my Chicago days. Two terrific people, two lives well lived. Belated condolences to Tom & June's wonderful family.

To June's family
You have my deepest sympathy
What a wonderful person to have had as a
friend for years. I will miss her and her smile.

She was one of my best friends. We taught together for many years. When I moved out of state we would get together every summer. I will miss her greatly. I will never forget her.

To June's family:

I just talked to her sister, Alice, and learned of June's passing. I am her cousin, Marie (Benoit) Harnois. I haven't seen or talked to her in at least 60 years; but have good memories of her when we were young. She was a kind and gentle person. So sorry for your loss.

June was a gifted and wonderful teacher at St. John Vianney School in Northlake,Il. What an inspiration to all the student she came in contact with. She will be missed.

June was my daughters first grade teacher at St. John Vianney in Northlake, IL. What an inspiration she was to those children. Teaching them how to make learning fun and enjoyable. She will be missed.

To June's family,
June touched so many lives and inspired so many children and adults. We treasure the time we shared with her and she will always have a special place in our hearts and memories. Bless June and all of you.
