June Goebel Obituary

June Rose Fatzer Goebel, born June 19, 1930, gained independence and freedom from her earthly life on July 4, 2023 shortly after celebrating her 93rd birthday. She is now at peace with Our Lord. June was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Malcom A. Goebel, Jr.; parents Gerard Fatzer, Sr. and Marie Della Remel Fatzer Lemoine; and siblings Gerard "Bub" Fatzer, Jr. and Marie Molly Felsher. She is survived by children Gerard "Jerry" Goebel (Cathy), Michael "Mike" Goebel (Karen), Bonnie Goebel Aucoin (David), and Elizabeth "Beth" Goebel Geisz (Helen); sister Patricia Harrington; grandchildren Jennifer Aucoin Rudy, Adrienne Aucoin Vicknair, Sarah Aucoin Landry, Kelly Goebel Zimmerman, Derek Goebel, Ryan Goebel, and Arianne Geisz; and 14 great-grandchildren. June proudly served Sears Roebuck for 31 years and Ochsner Hospital for 12. She was a well-respected and loyal employee. The family would like to give special thanks to the owners and staff of Fidelis Care II on Kent Avenue and Harmony Hospice. A Visitation for June will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana, from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a Memorial Mass at 12 pm, and Interment thereafter at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana.
