Not sure what to say?

It is going to be magical!!

I met June when she was 101 years old, in adult Hebrew class at Temple Emanuel. Later, she graciously opened her house for our class when it became too difficult for her to get out in the winter. That is when I found out her real age, I had thought she was in her mid 80s, and that she was a magician! One time I arrived early for class and as we were talking she asked me, why as a Christian, did I want to learn Hebrew? I told her that since Christianity was based on the Hebrew Scriptures and...

Dear Auntie June,
Thank you for your love, humor, and guidance. Growing up with your love and magic was a great gift.
Loving you always,

Linda Pugh Steimel

June and her husband Sam were a big part of my life in the early part of my married life, when I worked for Sam in his office. Sam and June also became friends and we shared many memories. A very special one was when June came to my daughters birthday party and performed her magic for the little girls. They still remember that magic party. Steve, you and your family are in my thoughts and I can tell you, so are your mom and dad! They always will be.

If a measure of one's life is how much they have inspired, influenced, and directed the lives of others in a positive way, then June has most certainly lived an amazing and fullfilling life. What a privilege to have known you. Thanks, June!

Dear Steve and Family,
Our families went through Grade School and High School with Steve and Nate at Ottawa. We have many many fond memories of June and her truly awesome magic that she performed whenever she would visit school or when we visited each others' homes. She was always so kind, loving and nurturing to children especially. She will be very missed. Our hearts go out to all the family.
Love,
The Maynard Family

Dear family members of a grand lady,

It was my privilege to sit with June for a time on the Grand Rapids Historical Commission in the 1980's. She was not only the very picture of grace and eloquence, but also a real treasure trove of knowledge about the city of Grand Rapids. Thank you for sharing her these many years with the community which she loved, and for letting her inspire so many people with her seemingly effortless sleight of hand, as well as her genuine wisdom and kindness.

My heart goes out to the famly and friends in your time of lose. She will be missed by a lot of people/magicans. Her lose will leave a big hole in the magic community. God Bless.

Thinking of you at this sad time. I know how much you loved your mom, Steve.
Love, Laurie Cope Grand
