June Lustig

I just heard of June´s passing. She was a friend for years. I did her hair at my salon. When I moved to Florida around the same time she bought a place in Boca. We hung out together quite a bit. One of the funniest people ever and I called her my Jewish mother. She taught me a lot of Yiddish. We lost touch a bit when she moved back. She sure loved her family. Rest In Peace June

I went to high school with June's daughter Susan. We became great friends and still are today. I remember going over to Sue's house and hearing tiles clacking. I asked Sue what that sound was. She said her mother and some friends were playing Mahjong. I had never heard of the game. Sue rolled her eyes and announced she would never play it. Years later Sue plays with a group of friends. June was always a sweet, welcoming parent to Sue's friends. She will be missed by her family and...
