June A. Steuer, 96, formerly of Wind Gap, passed away, Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab Center, Washington Township. She was the wife of the late Eric William Steuer, who passed away, December 25, 2013.
Born in Bangor, June 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Florence M. (Gist) Godshalk.
June was a 1947 graduate of Bangor High School, and in her younger years was employed as a seamstress for various garment mills in the Slate Belt Area.
She was a former member of the Easton Elks.
She is survived by a daughter, Laura J. Macaulay and her husband Ken of Pen Argyl, two sons, Eric W. Steuer of Florida and Robin S. Steuer and his companion Pauline of Saylorsburg, four grandchildren, Kyle, Nicky, Cory and Lief, and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Reed and Virginia Dell’Alba, and three brothers, Stanley, Leroy and William “Wink” Godshalk.
Funeral services will be private with interment in Johnsonville Cemetery. The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
