June Strauss

June Strauss was simply one of the finest women I have ever known. She was a great friend and I have thought about her, Buddy and their great family many times over the years.

I am so grateful to have had the pleasure to experience first hand, the loving heart of Ms. June. I worked for her at both Tree House Shelters. She loved and advocated for these children without hesitation.Her spirit will always be with me as I continue her legacy of helping children.She will never be forgotten. God bless you all.

My prayers go out to all of the family members as well as community members who had the wonderful opportunity to meet such a true example of a lady. I last saw Mrs. Strauss at a festive and warm family and friends gathering on the family compound. That eve I was, as always, just struck by her physical beauty that was ageless. Leslie and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you and hope you can take some small comfort in knowing that as a community we share in your deep sense of loss. June Strauss was a Tallahassee icon and leaves an amazing legacy -- so many beauftiful children, so much to be proud of. My heartfelt sympathy to Ted, Jeannine, Catherine, Leslie, Julie, Patrick and the other members of her wonderful family.

To accomplish just a portion of what June did would be considered a significant accomplishment in one's lifetime. To have done all the things she did is truly remarkable.
