A true angel has been called home. Ms. Yeates' name was one I was very familiar with growing up. She has touched my family in so many ways as a child and even as an adult I saw her effects on many families in York County. I know she will be mostly missed by her family, but she will truly be missed by her community.

Dear John and family, I will always remember June and her wonderful knowledge of all the families in York County. She set a very high example of God's love in action. Her care and concern was so evident in caring for the needy and underprivileged. I was so happy to accompany her in visiting homes to the children chosen to attend summer camps. Also it was her idea to start a Night Department in the Yorktown Woman's Club. I felt honored when she asked me help her in creating that for our...

June was such an inspiration to me. She has trully helped a lot of poor familes, through out the Lackey, and York county area. The pearly gates are wide open for June this wonderful person. To the family I give you my deepest sympathy. Always know how wonderful she was to everyone. God Bless You.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. Yeates passing. She was loved by all of us and she was wonderful to us with her kindness. She was especially close to my aunt Shirley Gregory and she taught me to sew. She even gave me a sewing machine to so I would keep sewing. God has called one of his shining stars home to rest and may He hold you close during this time of sadness.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Yeates passing. She was so wonderful to my family. She was really very close to my Aunt Shirley Gregory and she taught me to sew and gave me a sewing machine. We will never forget the kindness she extended to us. God has taken one of his shining stars home to rest and may He keep and hold you close during your time of sadness.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time. God Bless you all.

To John and all of the Yeates family:

Hilda and I were so fortunate to have known you from our years at the Bargain Box. June was always so gracious in everything, and the two of you made such a great pair! We note the word "Alzheimers", which has also become familiar in Hilda's case. God bless all of you, as you carry on the good work of ministering to others so thoughtfully. Hilda and Jim Granger
