Not sure what to say?

Jurgen was the finest of men. Dedicated to helping raise many of the New Orleans area youths, his mark is indelible. His example is one that is impossible to duplicate but also a shining example of humanity and kindness that we should all strive to follow. He is dearly missed by one of his old students that has had 50 years to appreciate how rare a soul he was. RIP Mr Ristau.

God keep and bless you

Marty, Barry, Scott, Kevin and Chris, I'm sorry to hear this. Jurgen was one of a rare few who was truly out there for the kids. I don't think we will every come across someone who will be as dedicated to NORD and the kids of Mid-City as Jurgen. He really deserves some special recognition by NORD. We lost a very good man.

Juergen will truly be missed by many, with his unique, selfless style of teaching and coaching. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Jurgen Ristau

My deepest sympathy on your loss. He was a fine man. Jurgen and Mrs Cooley were wonderful neighbors and friends of my Mom.

The world has lost a great individual, who spent his life giving to the youths of the New Orleans area. Whether it was as a teacher or as a coach, Jurgen molded many of us into the people we have become today. You will be sadly missed by all of your family and friends. Rest in peace.
