Not sure what to say?

Justin and I went to LP together and he was such an amazing and friendly guy. He truly touched everyone around him with his one-of-a-kind personality. He always said "hi" to me in the halls and made me laugh in the classes we shared. When I think of him, I think of that big smile. Unfortunately, we lost touch after graduation, but when I heard about his death, I was devastated. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss; you raised an amazing man.

I went to Germany in 2006 with Justin, and also had many German classes with him, AND plenty of good nights having a beer at Stammtisch. I always enjoyed his quick wit, jovial humor, and wry grin, and I'm glad I have the honor of knowing him; I will never forget him. His life ended too early, but it was lived more fully than many.

Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit unseres Freundes: Justin. Bis wir uns mal wieder sehen, Alter. "Friede Aus".

It was with great shock and sorrow that we learned of Justin's death. We had all enjoyed Justin as a very bright and always cheerful student in our courses. He was extremely devoted to all things German on campus, a fixture in German Club activities: viewing films, volunteering time for bake sales and RamRide, attending Stammtisch and helping at Lerntisch. Justin was well-liked by his classmates and professors alike for his easy-going personality and his ready smile. We were very proud...

Dear Jim, Deana, and Jason-living in NY we didn't get the pleasure of knowing Justin-but being a cousin of Jim and knowing Deana all these years-we can certainly surmise what a great young man Justin had become. The miles may separate us, but our thoughts and prayers are with you all. As the cousins grew, we have lived somewhat parallel lives-having children that are approximately the same age. It's a wonderful coinsidense that John, Craig and Jim all had kids at the same time. Looking at the...

Jim, Dean, & Jason,

Truly sorry for your loss. Justin seems to glow even in the photograph above. May you feel his presence now and always.

Lots of Love from back East-

I had the pleasure of working with Justin and he always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed dearly. My thoughts are with you.

One of our German faculty members just notified us of Justin's passing. Nearly all of the Foreign Languages and Literature's Department at Colorado State University is away on summer break, but any who knew Justin personally will be sad to learn of his demise. Meanwhile, on behalf of those who are still in the dark, my sincere condolences to all of Justin's family and Betsy.
