Justin D. Cox

               Mr. Justin Daniel Cox, age 34, a resident of Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

               Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Warren Memorial Cemetery, Blounts Creek, conducted by Marty Alligood.

           Justin was born in Craven County on February 13, 1983. He was the son of William Daniel Cox and Sheryl Betts Cox. Justin graduated from Washington High School in 2001. He later graduated from Pitt Community College with an associate’s degree in Biotechnology. Justin was a loving husband, father and son who had a love for music and animals.

           On March 29, 2008, Justin married Brandy Alligood, who survives.

           Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Scarlet Avery Cox of the home; son, Ryker Luke Cox of the home; his parents, William Daniel “Danny” Cox and Sheryl Betts Cox of Blounts Creek; brother, Brent Horne and his wife, Ashli and their children, Sydney and Samantha Horne all of Apex; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Roberta Betts of Aurora; uncle, Glenn Betts of Aurora; aunt, Tina Wagoner and her husband, Jonathan of Jacksonville; father in law, Robert “Blue” Alligood of Greenville; mother in law, Nelda Alligood of Washington; sister in law, Wendy Alligood of Greenville; and his two dogs, Bobby and Fifi.

         Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lois and Lester Cox and aunt, Brenda Lewis.
