JUSTIN WAYNE DUNCAN HAMMOND, IN Justin Wayne Duncan, age 24, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 19, 2013. He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Alice Mikkelsen and Glen Sheetz; brother, Bradley Duncan; sister, Jamie (Greg Kerr) Duncan; paternal grandmother, Betty Duncan; two stepbrothers: Robert and Christopher Sheetz; and nieces: Nevaeh and Ariel Kerr. He will be missed by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who knew him well. Justin was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Wayne Duncan; maternal grandparents: Ronald and Sandra Mikkelsen; paternal grandfather, Barton Duncan; and his beloved cousin, Tara Mikkelsen. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond. Private cremation will follow. Justin attended Gavit High School, where he also played football. Justin had an infectious zest for life and lived every moment to the fullest. He relished his role as the center of attention of the party. Justin loved to tell a good joke and was known to possess a dry sense of humor. We have truly lost an angel. Justin brought so much light into everybodys life.He was an inspiration to all who knew him, and had a certain spark that affected everyone around him.He has taught us so many positive things in life, that now we must keep close to our hearts. I am so thankful and blessed that you(Alice) brought this beautiful angel into our lives. He showed us a different side to life and will never be forgotten.
