Justin Dean Smith, age 19, of Sand Springs Oklahoma went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 6, 2018. 


 


He was born in Tulsa to June Marie Smith and Jimmie Dean Smith on March 27, 1999.


 


He graduated 2017 from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs. He went on to attend Tulsa Technology Center in Sand Springs for production printing. Justin aspired to be a professional boxer and join the Marines. 


 


Justin is survived by his parents June Smith of Sand Springs and Jimmie Smith of Jonesboro, Arkansas; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.  


 


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Ruby McDonald, Mae White and James Smith and Step-grandfather, Paul Bookout. 


 


Justin’s interests included working out, playing video games, and anything involving the outdoors. He was a hunting, fishing and knife enthusiast. He loved catching snakes, and adored his dogs Cindy and Comet and cats Montey and Jerry. 


 


His celebration of life will be led by Pastor Rusty Gunn at 10am on Tuesday, June 12th at Church That Matters, 3 West 41st Street, Sand Springs, OK. 


 


He will be interred at Greenhill Memorial Gardens following the service. 


 


Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home 1208 South Main in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Love you brother

June, you may not remember me, but I taught Justin at Bixby Middle School. He held a special spot in my heart and I have thought of him often over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Everyday I walked into work at Tulsa Tech and was greeted with a good morning, Ms. Rice from this young man. He was so kind and genuine. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

You don't know me, but I am the aunt of a close friend of Justin's - Kristin Rogers. I want to express my deepest condolences to your family. This really breaks my heart. May your boy forever RIP.
