`Sire´ is what I affectionately called him, when we worked together at DOE. Judd was the Director in the office of the Secretary, and I served as Chief of Protocol. He was a great supervisor, and dear friend, who quickly became my mentor. I have many fond memories of our trips together. I have so much respect and admiration for Judd. My heart is heavy.

It had to be through you, Gail, that I met Judd, so very long ago. His politics and mine so different, I wanted to dislike him; too smart and witty for me to do. Your friendship has been and is a gift. Saying your name without his is too painful. May Judd´s memory be for a blessing. May you find peace as you grieve and heal.
