Justin Franklin Waters

Justin always made me smile. He had such quick wit and a great sense of humor. And he was quite frustrated that I was hopeless at learning chess. It was also such a treat seeing him at AMC theaters many many times. My best to the Waters - Justin was really impactful in my world and will always live in my heart. No Wilshire Student Ministry event was the same without his presence. - Rhett Mason

In fifth grade, I wrote a radio play with Justin. I played chess with him as a college freshman. And even more recently, he and I both played villains in City of Heroes, a Spotlight musical that premiered in 2017. I'd known him for most of my life so far, and I just can't believe he is gone. I will miss him, that's for sure!

I fondly remember Justin and his lovely mom. During my time at White Rock Elementary and long years in the LH community, they touched my heart and taught me valuable life lessons that must be experienced to learn. My prayers are with this family at this time. We have a living hope that never passes away. We will see Justin again. Erika Carlberg Rener
