J.W. (Dub) Collins, 66, of Springdale died Jan. 10, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Huntsville to Dison F. and Amo Griffith Collins. He was a member of Revival Tabernacle Church in Springdale. He was a retired home builder and remodeler. He was founder and past president of Oak Grove Riding Club. He enjoyed rodeos, attending cattle and horse sales and working on his farm. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Stevens Collins, whom he married June 18, 1960; three daughters, Becky Collins of Springdale, Jana Curry of Hindsville and Tanya Nall of Springdale; three brothers, Riley Collins, Bill Collins and Jim Collins, all of Springdale; three sisters, Carmen Mason of Tontitown, Mary Carver and Katherine Nimmo, both of Springdale; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Paul Eden officiating. Burial will be in Elm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kody Colins, Cory Collins, David Collins, Jim Carver, Tim Carver and Brian Osborne. Honorary pallbearers will be his many friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
