We are blessed with so many fond memories off Elizabeth. She was a woman of extraordinary talent, an intense interest in all things around her, and a zest for living that lasted for all of her days. We loved her and will greatly miss her.

This lovely lady has changed the world. Always concerned about others, Elizabeth reached out to help those less fortunate. She provided a major philanthropic contribution to The Ross Eye Institute and Lions Diagnostic and Imaging Center. Lions Club Members throughout Western New York join together in appreciation for all Elizabeth has done to help eradicate blindness. We shall always be grateful.

Dr. Elizabeth Olmsted was a pioneer, an adventurer, and a philanthropist. I work with patients every day in the low vision clinic who have been helped to maintain there independence and quality of life, thanks to the goodness of Dr. Olmsted. Without her generosity, thousands would remain unserved with their vision needs. Dr. Olmsted was, and remains, an inspiration to us at the vision clinic. Our community has indeed suffered a great loss with the passing of Dr. Olmsted.

Elizabeth left this world a beloved person. We, her friends, will always speak of her kindness, her laugh, her graciousness, her generosity and consideration to everyone around her. After all, what better tribute is there to someone then the reflection of their own love in the heart of those they left behind.
