K. Gregory HaynesHaynes, Kenneth Gregory, 75, died on November 1, 2020. He was surrounded by those he most cherished, and embraced in the loving thoughts of many friends who will never forget his ready smile and laugh, his dry wit and his keen intellect. He met the love of his life, Sallie, when...

Not sure what to say?

Just today I learned from a mutual friend of Greg's passing. The three of us practiced at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP for many years, before my path took me away from Louisville and I lost touch with Greg. When I applied for a summer associate position, Greg and Virginia Snell interviewed me -- and from that moment I knew Wyatt was where I wanted to practice. For 13 years I did just that, and had the great luck to work with Greg on several cases. As his eloquent obituary details, Greg was...

I just learned of Greg’s passing. My thoughts are with his family. He was like a second father to me for many years while I worked with him at WTC. Love to the Haynes family.

“SBell”

My belated condolences to Greg’s family. I was his colleague at WTC for my entire 36 year career. He was the first WTC lawyer I ever met, when he interviewed me for a summer job at WTC. He was friendly and charming and made me feel at ease. He was the perfect ambassador for the firm, and I thought that if WTC had people like him, then it was the kind of place where I would want to practice law.

May he Rest In Peace,

George Miller

Greg and I were adversary's in an Arbitration in N. J. more than 20 years ago in which I represented General Electric and Greg represented a company named Vogt Nem. After the Arbitration, Greg and Sallie entertained my wife and I for a weekend in Louisville. I was saddened to learn of Gregg's death. He was not only a great lawyer, he was a great human being. We had a lot of fun in the Arbitration we had together. We also have fond memories of our weekend in Louisville. Please pass on my...

Sallie, Katie, Amanda and Alex,
We are sad to hear of Greg's passing.
I didn't know all that Greg did professionally, I only knew him as a family man. I worked with the Haynes' family including his wonderful parents for years.
I didn't know about his love of poetry, but I saw first hand his love for Sallie and their girls.
Sallie you had such words of comfort for me when I lost my parents so many years ago. I pray that you hear the words of comfort from the ones that knew...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Know that my family and I are praying for your Family. May the peace of God be with your family now and always. Pastor Barbara Smith , Mr. Donald Smith and Mr. Jason Turner

I am deeply, deeply saddened to learn this morning of Greg Haynes' passing. I have been 'rocked' by this news. He was, without a doubt, one of the greatest men and lawyers I have ever known in my, now, 55 years at the Bar. For any of you who didn't have the opportunity to know Greg - believe me - the wonderful obituary captured the true story of a Louisville 'legal giant.' The gentle smile in the picture tells the whole story. Greg's legal and personal contribution to our city, state and...
