Not sure what to say?

My son Matthew, came to live with us after some struggles in his life. The first time he attended church with me, he heard Kaaren's voice even before he saw her and said he felt like he had come home.

Kaaren's influence on me has not lessened. It is a joy to remember conversations we had and time spent together. This photo was taken in 2012 in my kitchen in West Linn. Left to right: Mary Jo Billings, Ellen Hansen, Minerva Force, Kaaren, Elaine Carlson

She was always gracious and kind!

I JUST HEARD OF KAARENS PASSING .I JUST RETURNED FROM MICHIGAN AND WAS SADDENED BY THE NEWS.I REMEMBERED HER FROM THE WEST LINN CHORUS THAT I WAS PART OF.THIS IS SUCH A LOSS OF A TRULY WONDERFUL AND TALENTED PERSON.SO MANY PEOPLE WILL FEEL THE LOSS OF HER GIVING AND LOVING PERSONALITY.SHE WILL BE MISSED.SUCH A BLESSING TO HAVE KNOWN HER.

In my time living in Oregon and pretending to be part of the Pixton clan, I always looked forward to seeing or hearing about Kaaren´s next art project. Now I picture her creating with even more materials and colors and less restrictions than she ever had on earth. I still look forward to seeing her next project.

My family has so enjoyed Kaaren as a neighbor and we will be forever grateful for her contributions to our kids, through various creative activities at Sunset Elementary. Kaaren and my wife Karen bonded many years ago; they shared a love of art, music, kids, and nature. We´ll miss her greatly.

Kaaren was a valued part of the Young Audiences community, and her many years as a teaching artist left an impact on our organization, the schools she partnered with, and the students she served for a long, long time. Below is a collection of remembrances from her colleagues at Young Audiences: I know not many in Young Audiences probably remember Kaaren, but she was much loved by many school communities and children. Kaaren was a skilled teaching artist and one of the kindest, most...

I was a grateful recipient of Kaaren´s roasted chicken and beautiful homemade bread when I first moved to West Linn. As I got to know her she inspired my faith in God and search for truth. The beautiful Pixton family have been a blessing to so many! Much love to all of you!

You have my heart felt condolences!!
