Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. I really wish I would have made that trip to Oregon in 1984 with my Dad, Karl Nielsen and my sister, Michelle to meet Kai and all of my relatives out west. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Kai, you had such a short life and although you travelled the world we are sorry you couldn't meet your second cousins in MN who always wondered what you were like. So sad to find out what you were like by reading this guest book and never know you. God be with you Diana and Egon. Our thoughts and prayers are also with you.

Kai was a blessing to everyone he knew - I was fortunate to be amoungst his pals from the Sprague High School days - I share some of my funniest moment at Sprague with my friend Kia - I have seen some of the most beautiful sights in Oregon with my freind Kai - and even though I know I will never see him in this plain again - he lives on my and our Sprague buddies memories as a young and fun carefree soul forever - Betsy Reaney (Sprague -class of 82)

Kai, your spirit and optimistic outlook in life will always remain in my heart. There are so many fond and happy memories from our school days with the Sprague gang that I think of often, and treasure dearly. I pray peace and comfort for your family and friends in their loss of such a wonderful human being. See you on the other side, my friend.
Love & Peace, Marilyn

Dear Bodtker family and friends,

I'm sending my most loving and healing vibes to you all...

Kai was my close friend from elementary school thru high school. I will always remember his big soul and very danish utilitarian roots - he was an amazing artist, a deep thinker, able to store huge volumes of recallable knowledge, his wit and timing for humor were impeccable and the kindness he showed to others was from his heart; without reservation...

What a meaningful...

Please accept my sympathies. It's been way too long since I've talked to any of the family. What a wonderful group of people to know. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to the Bodtker Family.
I am happy for this opportunity to let you know how much Kai meant to me. He was a "brother-from-another-mother" and I am so very sad at his passing. Very... Yet so happy that he was in my life.
I met Kai at Crater Lake and have so many fond memories of times spent there with him: adventures and anecdotes and best of all, just plain silliness, such were our souls at that time.
I also lived with Kai for a year in Portland and these were...

I remember Kai so many memories. I loved him so much. He was my first serious boyfriend. I was 18 and 19..I met him at crater lake the year after I graduated high school. The next year..Kai, Julie, Annette and I went on a great adventure to mexico for a month and then to work at ski resorts. He was so much fun! I will miss him so much. I wish we would have kept in better touch with eachother better..but thats life.
I now have my memories to keep forever..Im lucky to have shared some of my...

To the Bodtker Family:
My deepest sympathies go out to you for your loss of Kai. My memories of him go back to his sister's April wedding, family gatherings, and the annual summer gatherings at Silver Falls State Park. He was always laughing, always had a great story, a solution to most any problem--no matter how bizarre, and kindness in his heart. My having lost a daughter gives me insight to your present feelings, and given what I know, please know how sorry I am that you have to endure...
