Not sure what to say?

Karel contacted me when I posted around the stake looking for dancers and musicians for my Christmas and Easter concerts. She said she'd played percussion with Doug Wolf at the University of Utah. So had i! Probably 30 or 40 years later however. So we started playing some simple arrangements of Christmas and Easter music for my shows. We had another person play with us occasionally and we had a lovely little percussion ensemble. Karel agreed to play a descant on the German Bell Lyre for...

Karel was such a great musician and friend. She was always willing to help with music when Park Stake was asked to put on plays. I was so thankful for her expertise on the music end. She was always willing to help out. She was such a joy to work with! We were sad we weren´t able to be at her funeral.

Karel was a wonderful colleague of mine at Brockbank. I am very sorry that I hear of her passing. She and I were in the same department as I was the dance teacher, and shared many many hours collaborating and seeing her passion for education up close. She was always very supportive of me and I will always be treasure my time spent with Karel. My deepest condolences to her family!

I'm so sorry to hear of Karel's passing. She was always kind to me as we worked together in the transition of Brockbank Jr. High students to Matheson, where I taught choir/guitar/general music. Rest in peace, my friend.

Farewell to a fireball never to be doused. What an example of a talented extrovert.
