CAMILLERI, Karen Lynne (Knapp) Born December 9, 1951. Gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fought a valiant eight month struggle against breast cancer. Died January 4, 2002 at home with family present. 50 years young. Wife and soulmate of Anthony J. Camilleri Jr. Mother of Angela K. Camilleri and Anthony R. Camilleri. Daughter of Beatrice and Robert E. Knapp of Santa Rosa. Sister of Judith Helm. Sister-in-law of Brad Helm and aunt of Kaitlin G. Helm. Sister-in-law of Ernest and Valli Camilleri and aunt of Vincent Camilleri. Resided in Petaluma the past 21 years. Homemaker and a seven year Hospice of Petaluma Caregiver and Bereavment Volunteer. She also helped with fundraising for Hospice. In March of 2001 Karen was awarded Hospice of Petaluma Volunteer of the Year. Karen was also a member of the Petaluma Womans Club II and a member of P.E.O. Group Chapter U.W. She was also a member of Hope Chapel and sang with their musical group for Sunday services. Karen so touched the many lives of the people she met. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services Friday, January 11, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Petaluma Valley Baptist Church, 580 Sonoma Mtn. Parkway, Petaluma. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952.
