Karen Sue Rogers Davis, age 72 of Somerset, Passed away on May 5, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on December 17, 1950 in Covington, KY to Paul G. Rogers and Yvonne Edwards Rogers. She was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them.  Karen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and she loved her church and church family.  


Survivors include her husband; James “Jim” Harrison Davis, Jr, whom she married on November 18, 1988, one daughter; Patti Russell of Somerset, two sons; Eddie Russell (LaDawn) of Somerset and James Davis III (Kristen) of Aurora, CO, three grandchildren;  Zach Clark (Yettie), Austin Clark (Gabby) and Justin Davis, eight great grandchildren; Natalynn, Zachary, Camilla, Alaina, Adalynn, Sydney, Evan and Beckham,  one brother; Larry Rogers (Trish) of Science Hill, one sister-in-law;  Johnnie Rogers of Somerset, special friends;  Barb Gibbs of Spedwell, TN and Carol Harville of London, KY; her former husband; David Russell of Somerset, and several nieces and nephews. 


Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by one brother; Paul Glen Rogers. 


Visitation will be on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY  42503. 


Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jamey Epperson officiating.  Burial will be in the Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery. 


The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Calvary Baptist Church or Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery Fund in memory of Karen Davis.

Karen was so sweet, I have many memories of all of us at our yearly Memorial parties! She will be missed this year, but I am sure we will have a toast for her! Love !!!
