Randy and all the family - We mourn with you Karen's passing and pray for Randy's recovery in the Lord's time. We knew Randy & Karen from BYU days, and in their Orem years they lived across the street from Terry Olson's mom (Peggy Hanna). They were always great neighbors, ward members and friends. But you know all that. We ask the spirit to continue to sustain and comfort you. We assume the grandchildren will be told many stories about the faith and fun Karen spread to all. All our love.

Dear Randy and all the family.
We send you our heartfelt love and sympathy. Our prayers are with you in your loss, and also for Randy´s recovery.
It is only a few months since I spoke with Karen about the joys of a mission. My husband and I are currently serving as mission president couple in Stockholm, Sweden, and we were thrilled to learn that Karen and Randy were serving in Kirtland. Karen and I became friends while at BYU together, and even after I went back to Norway, we have...

We were so saddened to hear the news about your mother and dad. Your mom was so kind to our little family when we first moved into their ward in Orem. Karen was so generous and would share her daughters mini world dresses with my girls. I will never forget her love and kindness. We are praying for your dad.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of the accident and that Karen had passed away. What a wonderful person she is!
I worked with her in a primary presidency years ago and learned so much from her kind and giving example. She is truly a Christ- like person.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this most difficult time.

Our family is heartbroken over this accident. We were in Kirtland just the Saturday before the accident and the Deschamps were "our missionaries". As we spent those 2 hours with them, there was a very special bond created. As I read these comments, I feel that many were blessed by this same bond. We had our 18 month old grandson with us who was "very busy" to put it gently. The Deschamps were wonderful with him and our daughter/son-in-law, and enabled all of us to have a very spiritual...

To the entire Deschamps family, I know some of you better than others but I know your Dad well, we have traveled hundreds of miles back and forth to St. George I have spent hundeds of hours talking with Randy. What a great Guy. I would like to say Your Mom was so cool even when the neighbors called and said a vagrent was on the front yard grass and she simply said no that is just Rick waiting for Randy to get home. Karen was always so nice she only thought of others because she loved herself...
