Not sure what to say?

I taught 5 th grade at Vestavia Elementary School. Today I found a book given to me by Karen in 1972. "The Greatest of These is Love". Even as a child she made an impact on others. Mrs Chapman

Bob - working with your bride was a delight. I just found out about our loss today. I will keep you in my prayers.

Karen was professional and passionate. She came to work each day with vigor and focus; prepared to accomplish a great deal. She did not require coffee, a newspaper or a water cooler to begin the day. Most days she accomplished more before lunch than the rest of us did in an entire day. In my thirty-year consulting career, Karen was the most effective Human Resources head I worked with.

Bob,
Karen was such a beautiful and graceful person. She was a mentor and a true professional. I admired her courage and determination. I enjoyed working for her and she will be missed by all of us each day.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Bob for the coming days. May God give you strength and peace.

Bob,
The world is a sadder place with Karen gone; however, her memory will continue to bring joy to everyone whose life she touched. She was a special lady who was able to bring energy into any room she entered. My prayers are with you.

Karen was the shining example I used to tell people that teachers could do anything -- and often did! We'll still use the example, but it won't have near the impact with her gone. So sad that such a delightful person has left us. I was hoping to see her soon to tell her that my daughter is now living in Paris, her favorite.

My heart is heavy as my thoughts and prayers are with you Bob, as well as Karen's immediate and extended external family. When I heard that she had, "lost her battle", my immediate thought was...I beg to differ. I have not known another person to live with such determination. By sheer momentum, she propelled forward those she came into contact with. I'm blessed to have known her.

Karen was the best fighter I ever met. She helped give me the strength to fight my own battle with cancer and she will always be in my heart.
