Being with MISSSSSSSSSSSSS HOOOOLLLLLLLLLLANNNNNNNDDDDDDD (as I liked to call her) was like being at a smart party. It was fun and you had to stay on your toes. Yes, there were always the greatest hits of affection and humor, but there was also constant fresh and new material. Being present, in the moment, candor, support, love. Laughter. So much laughter. I have so many specific memories of Karen as we went to the same church for years, and my parents and her were very good friends. ...

My class had the prevlidge of being Ms. Holland's 1st class at Sunnyvale, in 1980. She was amazing and brought History to life for us all. We immediately started having fun in class and took alot of notes. She had us playing games to learn history, and memorizing important things and events that happened throughout history. It was such a prevlidge to grow up in Sunnyvale and have a school district that cared enough about their students to hire a teacher like Ms. Holland for us all. I know...

We had 3 kids who went to Sunnyvale school and they all over Ms. Holland. She was a great teacher and definitely a student favorite. Our kids are better people because of her.
