Not sure what to say?

George, I'm so sorry to read this, Karen was one of my favorit customers , she didn't talk much but we knew how each other felt. You were so good to her to bring her to my house for haircuts in the last part of her life. God Bless you Geroge, and rest in peace Karen. Sincerely, Dottie

Moving back to Washington, I know you would have spent a week--or at least a few days--packing and loading. Love you!!!

I miss my sister so very much! She was witty, smart, caring, loving and a great cook. She had a generous heart and loved her family without bounds. Nine years later, I still miss her.

Facebook reminded me that I shared the link to this page, 5 years ago today. I smiled when I saw it and started to read through the comments. It took me a while to read them all, because tears kept blurring my vision. You are still missed and dearly loved. You always will be.

I hope you are watching baby Alice. She's the cutest, happiest baby around. Such a smile and so snuggly. She has a Tigger outfit too. We all cried when Rebecca opened it at her shower. ♡

Hi Mom,
We miss you. I know you would have some good advice. Or, at least you would tell us about something else that was important to you and help us feel like we were nearby. Wish you were here,

Okay, Sis, I wish so much you were still with us. Today I went to Costco and saw some Christmas decorations. There was a set of two wooden penguins that was so cute and I immediately thought if you were still here, I'd be seeing those penguins at your house the next time I was up there. Everything is so different without you. I know you never realized just how much you meant to all of us. Lisa misses her Auntie so much. Another loss for her. You were her biggest cheerleader and it's...

Dear Kent and family,

There are many ways we can remember KAREN...
A. All those years she cooked dinners on Wed nights for Royal Rangers
B. Big tease
C. Creative crafter
D. Delightful daughter
E. Excellent quilter
F. Fabric lover
G. Great sense of humor
H. Helpmate few could rival
I. Infectious smile
J. Just knew how to make people feel welcomed
K. Knew Jesus
L. Liked people
M. Many grandkids--loved them...

Karen was indeed a prankster...a very special prankster and I will am so thankful for the memories she left us all with. Phil's message reminded me of Karen telling me that Kent said she could not buy any more fake ficus trees for their house because they had enough. Well not enough for Karen. She called me and together we went to Ted Brown Music and loaded every ficus tree the store had for their decorations into my van. Probably 8 or 9 of them and we put them around Kent and Karens...

She always love fireworks!

My mom always love the 4th of July. It was always a big event over at Grandma Brandt's. She really liked the sparklers.

She always made us homemade lunches and sandwiches, even through high school. She would make food for us when we came home from college and send it back with us. Growing up, she ironed our jeans! (she got pretty mad when she realized we weren't keeping them folded. Got that sorted out!)

She and my Dad would buy oranges or hostess treats and bring them...
