My college roommate from Ottawa, IL introduced me to Karen in the mid-60s. When I enlisted in the Navy, we lost touch for decades. My college roommate passed away 9 years ago. Karen left a condolences message in his obit. Now knowing her married name, I found Karen on the Internet, emailed her and we were email pals, sharing political views and jokes until the time of her passing. To the Koerner family: My wife and I met Karen and Fred when they were in Connecticut. Fred and I worked together in New Rochelle. Later our consulting companies were affiliated and we met up with Fred and Karen a number of times over the years at industry conferences.
