I send my condolences to all of Karen's family. I was so sad to hear of her death. We were back in touch with each other after 30 years and I was planning to visit her in Hemet last summer but she moved to Kansas before I could get there.

While growing up, Karen made the Neck feel like one big enchanted forest -- each day a fresh adventure. In this way, she lived fully, more than most. May her family be comforted by all the good memories. My deep condolences to them at this difficult time.
