Not sure what to say?

Oh heavens, what a loss. I had the absolute pleasure of connecting with Karen a great many times when I was a teacher at Caledonia High School. I recall her being sweet, fun, and funny. She had a great laugh and a wonderful smile. I remember those dreadful nights of parent-teacher conferences, and feeling a huge sense of relief seeing her approach my table. She was one of those people who was able to cut through the small talk, and get to the "heart."

I knew quite quickly that...

I never met Karen personally, but I know that her husband, Larry, loved her dearly, and thus I know she was a very special woman.

There are so many wonderful memories we have of Karen.....but what I loved about this woman was her self confidence. No makeup....no bra...no Debbie downers !!!! She loved to laugh, see humor in herself (and others) and always found time to ask about how others were doing.
A few months ago I took her a meal to help out..(the least I can do) and she insists on cutting me rhubarb from her garden to say thank you. God forbid you would ever leave empty handed....even when you were the one...

My condolences to the Melton family!

Eternal Affection Arrangement- BASKET INCLUDED

As a current student of Caledonia High School and a former member of kraft middle school, i have no words for how my younger self would cherish moments with Mrs. Melton. A beautiful woman inside and out, in which i would come to appreciate more and more as I became a young adult. The most pure soul I've ever met. I feel as though I can speak on behalf of many, that she changed many for the better in Caledonia. My deepest condolences out to the family. May she Rest In Peace.
