Not sure what to say?

I have no doubt that Karen is with our Lord. I´ve often asked him to wrap his arms around her. Even in her last days she donated her books to my after school math students at Frances Hammond middle school, Alexandria VA.. She encouraged all coworkers to pursue ongoing training and higher education. Her smile and energy was catching and shared with everybody. I miss Karen and I could kick myself for not spending more time with her. However I feel in my heart that her lovely spirit will...

The best person.. My best friend.. Til death did us part.

So sorry to hear of Karen's passing. She was a true public servant, in whom her USDA and EPA colleagues saw compassion, integrity and intelligence every day. It was a privilege to work alongside her. My prayers and sympathies to her family and friends.

I first met Karen in 1992, when I began work at USDA. Over the past 25 years, she has been my boss, my mentor and a great friend. Karen had a kind heart and warm spirit. She was a very generous person. I saw her help so many people over the years. I will truly miss her, and I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Karen was at great co-worker
Lots of ideas, lots of fun!

Karen was a great mentor to me personally and professionally. I owe much of my success to her for believing in me and fighting for me as my supervisor early in my career. I am forever grateful for her selflessness and openness. She will truly be missed. Wishing Karen's family and circle of friends love and peace during this difficult time.

Thank you Karen for being the wonderful person that provided advice, a hand and anything else that was needed. Missing you

Karen I soo appreciate the computer and all the books you shared with the students in the Hammond Middle After School Program. The stars in your crown are glowing bright because of your selfless love of sharing and caring for others. RIP

KAREN was my most excellent neighbor & walking companion. She was an open, knowledgeable person w/o the tethering of fixed beliefs. She'd owned a home & had built another; she knew things that I didn't about maintenance & repair & was always available to offer advice. ~ While I wish Karen & I had met when we were both kids, I'm happy to have met her in our adult years. She was "a BIG spirit in small foot print." Trail-on "Lady of The Lake!" I'll be thinkin''boutchya next time I do :)
