So sorry to hear of Ms. Putman's passing. Please accept my condolences and a brief remembrance:
I have fond memories of learning my first computer courses with her at the Lab School in Chicago. That was really formative -- I've ended up following an academic and educational career involving computers and technology. Now I teach computing and programming skills to college students in Los Angeles. Her work has made an impact on myself and many others.
