Karen Ann Ricard, age 60 was born on February 19, 1962, in New Orleans, LA transitioned her earthly life home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Karen attended John F. Kennedy Senior High School. Karen leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband Wilbert Ricard; 2 daughters Cassandra (Arthur) Whitfield and Sharon (Andros) Stevenson, 3 sisters, Sharon (Claude) Williams, Edna Mae Jones and Valerie Williams; 2 brothers, Levi Collins and Alvin (Mary) Franklin; 5 grandchildren, Armani Campbell, Aniyah Paige, Arthur, Amarion Whitfield and Saige Stevenson; 3 nieces, Brittany and Chantell Williams, Nikita (Reggie) Armwood; 1 Aunt, Celestine Hutchinson; 1 Uncle, John Collins; 2 Sister-in-laws, Patricia (Gordon) Wheaton and Pamela Ricard; Special Friend, Robert Hamilton; and a host of relatives, family and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Mary Collins Phillips and James Phillips; stepfather George Granger; maternal grandparents Cassie and Frank Collins; paternal grandparents Catherine & Henry Phillips; grandson Arkis Whitfield; 2 brothers, James A Phillips and Huey Phillips; 5 sisters, Lorena Perry, Catherine Laners, Rowena LeBlanc, Bernadette Phillips and Vanessa Taylor; and a host of Aunts and Uncles. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Karen's Celebration of Life on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Second True Love Baptist Church, 2530 So. Robertson Street, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment Providence Memorial Park.
