Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt condolences to Phillip, the children and Karen's family. I met Karen when they moved in a few doors down from me in new town homes near Bull Mountain in Tigard. I remember Olivia's birth. When I first was dating my wife Barb, we pull up to my house and she says I will be right back. She runs down to Phillip and Karen and gives them a big hug. I am thinking what is this crazy woman doing hugging my neighbors? Turns out she worked with Phillip at one time. We still tell that...

My name is Leslie I'm a friend of Courtney's, but I met Karen once and was inspired by her courage and hope. My own mother was struggling in much the same ways with similar cancer, but karen encouraged me and even sent me a message once. I read her blog and I was devastated to hear one day after my mom passed away.....Karen also passed. I know for sure heaven has two new Angels that are continuing to teach and encourage others. God bless.

Our prayers are with each of you! We are so sorry for your loss. God has a beautiful angel in Karen.

I am so sorry and I hope God will help heal the pain. I remember Karen as a little girl that all my children baby sat for. She was so beautiful. My God be with you all.

Dear Schmitt & Walker Family,

My deepest condolences on the death of your wife, mother, sister and daughter Karen. I know Craig, her father, through K103 and feel so bad for the passing of his daughter and have put your entire family in my daily prayers. God bless you all and having lost a sister, I know the pain and sorrow you are feeling. God Bless all of your family.

It was a pleasure knowing Karen at OSU and Alpha Chi...

All my love and prayers for your family. May God bless you.

I did not know Karen personally. However, I did grow-up in Tigard and knew/know Craig and graduated with him as well in 1992. When I first began to read Karen's blog, as it was shared with so many via social media, my heart was heavy. I am a mother of three and a wife. My heart broke for her children and her husband. My resolve was to start praying. And that is what I did. I will be praying for Phillip and the children and your whole family during this time. I am so sorry foe your loss....

I'm so sorry to hear of your your tragic loss. As you probably know,we lost David's Mother to the same terrible disease. We know and share your pain and grief.
