Not sure what to say?

Sweet, funny, brilliant, beautiful Karen, I still miss you so much. It hasn't been quite two years since you passed away on August 30, 2016. Your patients, friends, associates and sisters still feel the abyss that used to contain your spirit and light. We will meet again.

I am very sorry to hear of Dr. Settle's passing. She was a very important part of my time at Southern Methodist University and I will never forget her impact. Condolences to the family.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of a beautiful and sweet woman that I am grateful I got to know if even for a short period of time. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

Jay,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We didn't realize how sick Karen was.
We have many fun memories of times together in Santa Fe with both of you.
She was a beautiful person.....inside and out.
Love, Margaret & Bill Duff

What a beautiful friend that will be missed dearly. You brought kindness to my life through listening, you taught kindness to my son through your actions, you gave love to my family by being you. It is my honor to call you my friend.

Jay, you and your dear family are in my thoughts and prayers as you face the loss of your precious Karen. God has raised her up on eagles' wings, borne her on the breath of dawn, made her to shine like the sun, and holds her in the palm of His hand. May you know the peace that passes all understanding in the days ahead. Be strong and know that your many friends love you and share your grief.

Truly a wonderful woman. So many memories: Guadalupe camping trips, Eustace, Canton and Tool weekends, Halloween parties, Oscar parties, dance clubs, fundraisers and volunteering together and many, many birthdays. You will be sorely missed by all.

"In my Father's house are many mansions. I go there to prepare a place for you. And when I prepare a place for you, I will return again, and take you home with me to my Father in heaven. There you may be with us also. And wherever I go you will know, and you will also know the way to go." John 14:1-4 / Karen, you are home with Trey and your wonderful Mom and Dad. You are surrounded by love. You fly freely with your angel wings and are free from pain. Thank you for the enormous joy you brought...

Karen, I will miss your beautiful smile and acceptance of all those who walked with you and shared your company.
