Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Karen was a true treasure, I will miss her.

Darling Karen with the perpetual smile. She was one of my favorite, loyal friends. It is with fondness I remember her warm greetings at her door for various social and civic events. She was a grand lady in every sense of the word. Good bye, dear friend.

Karen and I met in the 70's during our years as Howard Johnson owners. She made many very boring meetings wonderful. We later became partners in our Applebee's company. Karen and Don are two of the most wonderful people I have ever met. Karen's life is the example we all wish to have lived. Somewhere Don and Karen are back together. Allen

Karen was a dear friend. Together we co-founded the Friends of the Salvation Army.. What a joy as we were of one heart. Karen was all things admirable! She had character, mid-west values, leadership qualities, the gift of hospitality., a joyful spirit. Karen will remain in the heart of all who were blessed to know her.

Karen and Don were one of my first clients over 30 years ago . Karen´s support strength and grace buoyed me many times over the years both professionally and personally . She loved her family deeply and was a great supporter and fierce advocate for them .I pray that all of the many happy moments she shared with them will lift them up in the difficult moments to come . I was lucky to call her a friend.

The lose of Karen in my life is huge. She was a major joy to my spirit. I knew her since Lakewood High School days. She was always cheerful, honest and sincere and a help to many!
