Not sure what to say?

To the Townsend Family,

Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. There are some teachers that you always remember. Karen was one of those people. Whenever a parent leaves a child at daycare, you always look back to ensure they are well. With Karen, there was no need to do so. Her affection, warmth and love left us and our children with a strong sense of comfort. Karen will always have a place in our hearts - and memories.

Dear Jennifer, Jay and Scottie,

Please accept our deepest sympathy at the loss of your mom. She was quite the lady!

My thoughts go out to all who loved Karen. I had the pleasure of working as Karen's advisor while she pursued her Child Development Associate Credential. I can truly say that I have never been so inspired. Her ability to connect with people, young and old, was remarkable. I can still see her walking across the play yard with a line of little people following. Like little ducks, imprinted to their mother, the children experienced such joy following her lead. They knew a game would follow....

To Bill, Jay, Jenn, and Scotty -
We were all saddened to hear of Karen's passing. She was truly a wonderful lady and always had a smile for everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless You All.

Words can’t express the loss we all feel, knowing that Karen won’t be returning to the Duckling room in the JCC, her home-away-from-home for the past 12 years. I hope everyone’s kind words about her and our prayers will make it a little easier for her children and grandchildren to go on without her. We’ll do something at the J in her memory, to help keep her spirit alive, and to honor her on behalf of the many children and their families whose lives were enriched by her.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Townsend Family. God Bless.

Our family adored Karen-she cared for our daughter from her first day at the JCC and continued to shower her (and all her ducklings)
with affection long after they left room #5. Because she touched so many children's lives, her spirit will live on.

So sorry to her about your Mom, such a terrible loss! Hopefully in time u will be able to think of her without tears and heartache! Just think of how happy a reunion she is having and know that u will see her again one day.

Jennifer, Jayson and Scott I was so shocked to hear of your mother's passing. We had some good times playing cards, shuffleboard bowling and just going out. It was a shame we lost contact but she will never be forgotten. She is now an angel to watch over all of us. Karen RIP
