Not sure what to say?

As "Ohio" girls, both of us newly-arrived in North Carolina, Karen and I had a foundation for friendship almost immediately. Although I remember Karen's organization skills and work ethic, what stands out most was her warmth and kindness. Everyone adored Karen - she was a precious gem of a friend. To say she loved her family and was devoted to them would be a vast understatement

Dear John and family,
Karen's name comes up more times than not when we talk fondly about the swim team days. We were saddened to hear that you lost her so young. She created memories, they will get you through.
Sincerely,
The Depp family

Dear John, Ted, Kyle, and Caroline,
We were so sad to hear of the loss of Karen - a wonderful wife, mother and friend!!! Our shared time at prestonwood with our children on swim team will always be some of our favorite memories and we will always smile when we remember wonderful Karen!!!! May you rest in peace Karen, and
may you, her cherished family, find comfort in your memories, as we will...
Fondly,
The Capps family

Thinking of John today on their wedding anniversary. Our love goes out to you on this difficult day.

John & Family:
We are sorry to hear about Karen. We remember all of the good times we had when we were starting the Prestonwood Swim Team in the early 90s. Karen was always so creative and I remember her making all of the officials' vests. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Karen was always professional, with a strong sense of family and work. She will be missed....I am truly thankful to have known such a person.

We will miss Karen. She sent great Christmas card greetings every year. She always brightened the season with her wonderful photo card.

It was such an HONOR to know Karen. She was the superlative of all qualities I can think of. What a loss to the all of us in this world and what a tremendous gift to heaven. Karen really finished her work here on earth with such determination, spirit, joy, gratitude and love....and did that in record time. She is my greatest role model and I thank you, Karen, for being a part of my life!

Karen was such an inspiration to me personally and professionally. I am thankful I had the opportunity to get to know her and work with her. Heartfelt condolences to all that knew her, may she rest in peace.
