Not sure what to say?

My path crossed Karen's both at Resurrection and at CPCC as ESL teachers. Karen was a bright and loving person whom I was so blessed to know. I still remember a Bible study she wrote where she interwove principles of life with God and gardening. What a delight and how creative! That was Karen. My prayers are with Lex.

I met Karen last summer at a medical facility where we both were undergoing treatment for cancer. Her love for the Lord and for people surrounded her like an aura. I am grateful to have met her.

I'm so glad we had our 'lengthy' Palm Sunday chat! I'll miss the almost daily text chats and our phone conversations. Karen, you've grown up and you'll be missed by your little sister.

Patty and I met Karen and Lex in Peace Corps training in Austin, Texas, in 1968, were friends in Turkey in the Peace Corps, and stayed in touch over the years. We visited them in Charlotte in 2010 and had planned to see them in Southport in a few weeks. We will really miss Karen. Our thoughts are with Lex.

I worked with Karen for many years at CPCC. She was a thoughtful co-worker. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family.

Our thoughts and prayers our with you....May her memory be eternal. Jack and Gina Garwood

We are sorry to learn of the passing of Karen, but grateful for her service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Turkey.

Our Condolences,
The National Peace Corps Association

I met Karen through her husband, Lex, and found her to be a beautiful, kind and sweet lady. She has fought the cancer bravely. My prayers for Lex.

We thank the Good Lord for having known her and hope she will now rest in peace. Our condolances to the Family.
