Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Schmitt was not only a phenomenal teacher and a respected colleague, she was a very good friend. She taught me so much about education. Although she taught math, she did not only teach the subject matter. She taught her students how to persevere, take on challenges, and become responsible human beings. I am very thankful for the number of years I had the opportunity to work with her. My three older children, Kaylee, Raquel and Benjamin all were lucky enough to have her as a teacher and...

Mrs. Schmitt was a dedicated and inpiring teacher. Both my son BenZion Radinsky and my daughter-inlaw, Tami Thomas Radinsky learned math with her and consider her to be of the finest teachers they ever had. I also enjoyed my association with her as a colleague on the staff of the Margolin Hebrew Academy/ Feinstone Yeshiva of the South. She will be sorely missed. I offer my condolences to her family; may they soon be comforted.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Schmitt family. I am so sadden to hear of your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mrs. Schmitt was truly an amazing woman. I had her as a math teacher for the three years I attended the girls high school. In addition to being a great teacher with her "cheat sheets", her sense of humor and hilarious anecdotes made my high school experience really special. I was so sad to hear about her passing and I just wanted to express to her family that she had an influence on my life as well as others. She will be missed.

I will greatly miss Karen, my colleague of many years at the MHA and one who, by dint of her dedication to the craft of teaching, her genuine love of her students, her good common sense and endless patience in and out of the classroom, has left an indelible mark on so many lives. I am deeply saddened by her passing, but celebrate along with all who knew and loved Karen the wonderful human being she was.

In the short time I had Mrs. Schmitt I really grew to love her. When she left due to health issues I was sad. I had just gotten used to her and had warmed to her then out of no where she left. My sister had her for a long time and loved her. She has so many memories of her and I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to learn more with her. She was an amazing woman and will be missed.

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Schmitt as my math teacher for five years during four years during junior high and high school. She had an uncanny ability to take unintelligible math problems full of complex letters and numbers and make them comprehensible. She taught all of her students to break problems down into smaller pieces in order to find the answer - a great lesson in life for us all. She knew just how hard to push and encourage each student to ensure that they all reached for...

Mrs. Schmitt taught me almost all the math I know, over the course of my four years of high school. She always recognized the potential of each of her students, and took a personal interest in pushing us to reach it. I know she will be sorely missed by the entire MHA/FYOS family. May you find comfort in the wonderful legacy she has left with the many students whose lives she touched.

Mrs. Schmitt was an amazing teacher. I learned more then just math from this amazing women. She will be missed by many.
