My condolences to the Alexander family. When tragedy strikes and take the life of a child we cry out due to the pain in our heart. Our tears are not unnotice by our Heavenly Father, although your deep pain will not easily disappear, Almighty God is near to those who are broken in heart an those who are crushed in spirit he saves. Our prayer are with the Alexander family.

I didn't get the chance to talk with Karl much, but during my Freshman year at Wofford he was one of the people that made me feel the most welcome. We shared the difficulties of our first year of college French, a new campus and many new faces and I'll never forget the time when I was the only one walking through the rain without an umbrella, and Karl was there to walk me to my next class under his umbrella!
