To my childhood father, Mr. Blank, I love you, you will be missed by all. Your teachings and knowledge have been with me since the very frst day you accepted me into your family. Mrs. Blank, Chuck and Kristen, ya'all are in our prayers through this lifes journey of peaceful resting. Always remember his teachings and he will never be forgotten.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Karl. He was an excellent Fire Fighter, as well as an Outstanding Fire Officer. I worked with Karl for many years, and considered him a friend. He was most proud of his activities with the German Firefighters Assn.. I remember Karl entertaining the firefighters from Germany, while they were in Philadelphia.. My sympathy is extended to his family, relatives and friends. Harry J. Walsh (DC P.F.D.ret.)

My prayers to the Blank family and Alice M. This will be some difficult times but you are not alone it's hard to say stay strong but God will help you thought keep him in your prayers and I'll keep yours in mind/THE CAFÉ

My Uncle Karl was everything an uncle could be. I often thought of him as an older brother and we shared many happy and memorable times together, I will miss him mostly because he was also my hero being in the Philadelphia Fire Department. My thoughts and prayers are with my Aunt Alice, my cousins, Chuck and Cuz Alice. Hopefully their knowing how much he and they are loved will help them through this most tragic and sad time. May God bless the entire Blank Family and help them through this...

Karl was an extremely talented man. He was witty, intelligent, interesting, and good-hearted. His "I fix it" attitude was invaluable to all the organizations he belonged - especially his church. We will truly miss him and especially at our family holiday celebrations. Dave and Judy Smith
