Sorry I was not able to be with you and your sons today. Karl will be missed by me and our team at Chemical. When he joined us at Talmer in 2013 I had no idea what an important leader he would turn out to be for our company. We were growing fast and had many cultures in the company because of the acquisitions and new hires. Karl's passing is a deep loss for everyone who had come to know him in any capacity. He was brilliant, genuine, quick witted, level headed and filled with integrity. Certainly,there are not enough words to describe what a true gentleman he was. Karl was a trusted colleague who could be counted on for excellent advice and always a chuckle. He was a natural leader who was beloved by all and is already missed.

A ray of sunshine was lost with Karl's passing. My heartfelt condolences to Karen, Stephen and Peter. I will always remember how Karl's eyes would light up whenever he spoke about his family. You three meant the world to him.

Just heard of Karl's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. Remember Karl as not being afraid to take on something new, a bigger challenge. Karl was the first to step up to work with me at the old AmeriTrust Company when we started the new Merchant Banking business line. None of us had any formal training for this new venture. We all had to learn on the fly while trying to create a profitable business. Karl learned more quickly that the others and soon became a real leader....

My sympathy and Condolences to Karen, Peter, and Stephen. I had the privilege of working directly for Karl for over 9 years, but working with him for at least 15 years. There isn't a day goes by that I don't miss him and his wit. His was a powerful mentor to me and to all those around him.

Karl was also a compassionate person. He was one who really cared about his employees and people.

He will always be remembered in my family.

My heart is heavy at the passing of Karl. I had the honor and pleasure of working with him for most of my 25+ career at Ameritust/Society/Key. We didn't always agree, but Karl was always professional. He was the perfect gentleman. He always treated me with respect and as an equal. I will miss his wicked sense of humor. He helped so many in their careers. May he he rest in peace.
